Creating an account / logging in:

Next, you will then receive a mnemonic code in case you ever lose you password. Ensure you copy and save the mnemonic as this will be the only way you can restore your account. You can then proceed to logging in with your newly created account.
Once logged in, you'll see the latest community news and featured listings. You can conduct a search from the bar at the top, of select from any of the options in the header banner.

The full market rules are found within the Buyer FAQ section, but to summarize there's nothing unexpected here compared to other darknet markets. No fent, weapons sales, hitman services, CP, doxxing etc. Users are also asked to treat each other with respect and deal with any issues in a civil manner.
Domestic items are subject to a 6 day escrow time, with international transactions subject to 15 days. Digital items will finalize after 3 days. Escrow can be extended once by up to 7 days, but only when there is less than 24 hours left on an order, so be sure to login at the right time if you need to extend, as this gives quite a small time window compared to other markets.
Vendors can join the platform by paying a bond of $250, but there are waivers available for those with 25 or more sales on other platforms, including private vendor stores.

Search results are displayed in a grid format which shows a brief product description, vendor name and level, price (in the local currency specified within your account settings) shipping from location, a photo, supported cryptocurrencies, and star rating. Note that products are shown as 5 stars by default if they do not have any existing ratings.

Within each listing page you will find a photo, a detailed description of the product, details about shipping options, price etc. You can also add a product to your favorites by clicking the blue 'Add to favorites' button, which will make the listing easy to find on future visits to the market, saving the need to carry out a further search. Where previous buyers have left feedback, you can also view this at the bottom of the listing, helping you make an informed choice before committing to a purchase. The prices in Bitcoin and Monero are shown next to the local currency price for convenience.

By clicking a vendor's name (in red), you can view their entire product range and all feedback they have received on the market. You can also see details of any disputes, including which of those they won or lost. Details of last login, how long they've traded for on Elysium, and their sales numbers from other markets (such as AlphaBay, Bohemia, Tor2Door and Darkode Reborn) are also shown. This is also where you'll find the vendor's PGP key, which will be important if you wish to make a purchase from them, ensuring you can communicate securely.

If you wish to make a purchase on Elysium Market, you'll first need to deposit funds to your market wallet (see 'Balance' in the header). Unfortunately Elysium Market doesn't offer walletless pay at this time. Elysium Market supports both Bitcoin and Monero deposits, with most vendors accepting both. However, if you are paying using Bitcoin multisig then you will to follow separate instructions at the checkout and therefore don't deposit anything yet.
Before making a cryptocurrency deposit, be sure you're not on a phishing site (check your onion link against those listed on Torhoo).
Once the funds are in your wallet, select the item you want from the product page and provide your shipping information. You are strongly advised to encrypt your information with the vendor's PGP key, which is conveniently provided at the bottom of the order page. If you're not yet familar with PGP encryption, we have a detailed guide on how to use PGP.
Most users will want to select 'Regular escrow', but for those wishing to use Multisig, select this option instead and then follow the instructions. We recommend paying with XMR if you can as this is the faster, more secure and has much lower fees when compared to Bitcoin.

Submitted and completed orders can be viewed in the 'Orders' area. When the vendor accepts, ships or cancels the order, it will be displayed here and you will receive a notication. Once your order has arrived, you can then mark it as received and leave feedback for the vendor. In the event of an issue, you can first opt to extend the escrow by 7 days, then if the matter is still not resolved, you can raise a dispute which will then be reviewed by market staff. We always recommend messaging a vendor first before disputing any order however so that the vendor has an opportunity to resolve the situation themselves. Disputing without contacting a vendor first means you are less likely to be successful in the event of a dispute.

Elysium Market delivers a familiar and functional experience which whilst going beyond what could be considered the bare minimum, doesn't seek to offer anything revolutionary. However, for most vendors and buyers, these offerings will be more than adequate. The inclusion of multisig escrow will of course be welcomed by some, with very few modern markets now supporting this, however it remains to be seen how many vendors will actually adopt this. The shift towards XMR has made multisig a much less appealing option than it once was, but luckily Elysium has that covered too. If enough vendors come on board, there's no reason why Elysium can't enjoy a successful future in the darknet space.
